Project Estimator (Full Time)

About the Role:

 We are seeking a motivated and hardworking individual to join our team as a Shop Material Handler. This full-time position offers hands-on experience in both warehouse/shop operations and on-site electrical work. It’s an ideal opportunity for someone eager to enter the electrical trade and grow with an experienced, supportive team.

Position Overview:

The Project Estimator is responsible for:

  • Preparing detailed cost analyses and construction estimates for electrical projects

  • Reviewing blueprints, specifications, and project requirements

  • Collaborating with clients, engineers, and project teams

  • Developing budgets, schedules of values, and project timelines

  • Managing change orders and estimate updates

  • Attending site walkthroughs and project meetings

  • Coordinating materials, tools, and equipment planning

  • Monitoring project costs and supporting financial decision-making

 Qualifications:

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in the construction trade (field and/or office)

  • Strong blueprint reading and plan interpretation skills

  • Proven experience in construction estimating, cost management, and budgeting

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Adobe, Access)

  • Experience with estimating software (McCormick Systems a plus)

  • Familiarity with AIA contract documents and change order processes

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Strong analytical abilities and attention to detail

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment

  • Valid NYS Driver’s License required

  • Prior experience in electrical contracting strongly preferred

Shop Manager (Full Time)

About the Role:

This full-time, on-site Shop Manager role is based in Haverstraw, NY. The Shop Manager will oversee daily operations, including inventory management, ordering supplies, supervising staff, and maintaining shop organization and efficiency. Additional responsibilities include ensuring timely order fulfillment, tracking equipment and tools, providing exceptional customer service, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations and company protocols.

Position Overview:

  • Overseeing daily shop operations and workflow

  • Managing inventory, ordering supplies, and tracking materials

  • Supervising staff and coordinating shop activities

  • Ensuring timely order fulfillment and preparation for field crews

  • Tracking tools, equipment, and materials

  • Preparing RFQs (Requests for Quotes) and Purchase Orders (POs)

  • Receiving and sending shipments (confirming packing slips & deliveries)

  • Performing minor tool maintenance and preventive procedures

  • Managing vehicle fleet maintenance programs and logs

  • Maintaining compliance with safety standards and company protocols

  • Providing exceptional customer service to vendors, clients, and field teams

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Strong shop/operations management experience

  • Leadership experience with the ability to motivate and guide teams

  • Excellent communication and customer service skills

  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities

  • Experience in inventory tracking, auditing, and resource allocation

  • Familiarity with industry safety standards and electrical construction culture

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word; tech-savvy with digital tracking tools

  • Mechanically inclined with the ability to perform basic repairs

  • Experience managing fleet vehicles and maintenance logs

  • Valid NYS Driver’s License required (CDL-B a plus)

  • High school diploma required (additional certifications a plus)

  • Ability to lift materials as required

  • Bilingual skills encouraged

Schedule:

Monday – Friday: 6:45 AM – 2:45 PM
(If needed: until 3:45 PM)
One Saturday per month: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
